Here's what's behind your abdominal wall.
Health is multi-faceted, but one of the most important drivers of overall health is the digestive system. For the month of October, your Move Daily Health Coaches Freyja and Dain will be partnering with Evolve Holistic Self-Care expert Jackie Mirkopoulos to explore the digestive system and take a close look at the cause/effect for issues such as bloating and constipation.
We will also be sharing practical strategies and solutions to these issues while exploring the habit of Mindful Eating. Last but not least, we will even be taking a look at the physical and psycho-emotional aspects to these conditions, as food choices aren't always to blame.
Before addressing common digestive issues however, it's first important to get to know the abdomen, and to brush up on the ins and outs of the digestive system itself.
In this first video, Jackie will be taking you on a tour of the abdomen, highlighting the significance of connective tissue structures that interact with both the skeletal system and digestive system, and why it's important to understand their roles!
Following the discussion of the connective tissues and skeletal system, Jackie will then walk you through where the magic of the digestive system really happens: the organs! Understanding the functions of each major digestive component is key to learning what makes you feel great, what makes you feel ill, and how to effectively troubleshoot when necessary.
